Public Computers (On Campus)

Overview

There are numerous locations in the Tama Campus from which to access public computers that are part of the Tama Information and Education System (tedu).
Any individual who possesses a tedu account associated with the Tama Campus can use a computer located in a jōhō Cafeteria or Open Laboratory permitted for self-study, Study Room in the Library, Self-Study Room in the Faculty of Social Sciences Building or Computer Room used for information classes.

What is a Multimedia Computer?

Multimedia computers are installed with image editing and video editing software, and have scanning capabilities. There is one multimedia computer each in the jōhō Cafeteria 2 of the All-Purpose Building and Study Room 1 of the Library. The multimedia computer in the jōhō Cafeteria 2 of the All-Purpose Building also offers access to a large-format printer. Multimedia computers must be booked in advance.

R: Drive, S: Drive, and T: Drive

Overview of R: Drive

The R: drive is a folder that can be used to store data files over the network. Files can be saved to and retrieved from the R: drive at any time and from anywhere with an Internet connection. It eliminates the need to carry around a USB stick or worry about data corruption.

The folder size is limited to 200 MB per user.

Overview of S: Drive and T: Drive

The S: drive and T: drive are shared folders used between instructors and students to share files. The S: drive is used for lectures such as IT study, while the T: drive is used for lectures such as language laboratories. Files can be saved to and retrieved from the S: drive and T: drive at any time and from anywhere with an Internet connection.

Web Page Publication Using mystorage

Under tedu2020, users can publish a Web page that is only viewable within the Hosei University Network System by saving a document to the public_html folder in mystorage.
